by Hussein Ahdieh and Hillary Chapman is available now in Russian Language.
Awakening recounts the heroic struggles of the Nayrizi Babis in 1850 and 1853 against the overwhelming forces of Iran’s despotic monarchy and the horrific treatment of the survivors, mostly women, children and old men. It also provides an account of the lesser known, but dramatic, upheaval of 1909.
It covers in depth the story of Vahid - a spiritual and tactical leader, as well as the harbinger of a new way of life for the people of Nayriz.

SERENDIPITY in NYC Metropolitan Museum
